Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MediKonnex AI Health ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. MediKonnex is operated from Douala, Cameroon, and these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon.

Service Description

MediKonnex is an AI-powered health information assistant designed to provide general health information, symptom checking, medication information, and healthcare facility location services in Cameroon. The Service is available in French and English, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

User Responsibilities

By using MediKonnex, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your symptoms and health concerns.
• Not use the Service as a substitute for professional medical advice.
• Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
• Not share sensitive personally identifiable information in conversations.
• Use the Service in compliance with Cameroonian laws and regulations.

Acceptable Use

You may not use MediKonnex to:

• Engage in any activity that is illegal under Cameroonian law.
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's security measures.
• Spread false or misleading health information.
• Use the Service in an abusive or excessive manner to disrupt service for other users.
• Collect or extract data from other users.

Intellectual Property

All content, logos, code, and AI technology of MediKonnex are the property of MediKonnex AI Health and are protected by intellectual property laws of the Republic of Cameroon and international treaties. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

AI Limitations

MediKonnex uses artificial intelligence to provide health information. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may contain inaccuracies, be incomplete, or may not account for your specific medical situation. The AI is based on general medical knowledge and Cameroon-specific health data but cannot replace clinical examination by a healthcare professional.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Cameroonian law, MediKonnex AI Health disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, any harm resulting from reliance on health information provided by the Service. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Service Availability

MediKonnex strives to provide 24/7 service availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control, including network infrastructure limitations in Cameroon. Offline features are limited.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if your usage poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon.

Changes to Terms

MediKonnex reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be communicated via an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
